Jr. DATA ANALYST

Position Profile

The Junior Data Analyst reporting to the Director, Workforce and Operations is an integral role within Globalfaces Direct driving transformation, automation and facilitating empirical decision making across all levels through data insight. The Jr. Data Analyst will be tasked with various projects and the role will evolve as required during this stage of Globalfaces Direct’s development to enable best in class workforce, operational, reporting, visualizing and trend analysis capabilities. Portfolio will range from the managing and tracking of donor data and reporting around our F2F fundraising unit (to internal and external stakeholders); designing and automating Scorecards; and Process Engineering/Automating Manual Reports.

What You Will Do at GFD

Your Key Deliverables

  • Developing industry leading reporting around key issues that affect the quality of our acquisitions to support our growth strategy;
  • Help identify trends and key indicators with clear objectives and monitor them consistently to guide operational efficiency within the Contact Centre lines of business and field sales;
  • Work within and build Excel and SQL outputs that track significant internal and client data
  • Analyze tracked information towards producing key client metrics;
  • Convert raw data into meaningful analysis with the help of interactive, easy-to-understand dashboards and reports, as well as, provide insights to improve decision-making;
  • Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business analytics dashboards and operational reports using Microsoft BI technologies such as SQL, Power BI, including co-development and administration of BI tools;
  • Help translate business requirements into technical specifications and propose timelines;
  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts while creating charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations;
  • Support the invoicing process by providing the relevant donor acquisition data.

What You Bring to GFD

Your Experience

  • 1-3 years of working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst,
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development and data mining,
  • Ability to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions,
  • Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.

Your Skills, Competencies, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Advanced level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, SQL, Google Suite, Power Query and PowerBI among other business intelligence tools.
  • Technical aptitude to learn and apply new applications and software programs, and understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly reliable with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and partner effectively with others to achieve desired business results.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment.

Your Education

  • Completion of post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related programs, and/or combination of education and experience
