Position Profile

This role is based at our United States HQ Office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Within the first month of being hired, the candidate must be able to travel to our HQ Office based in Canada for mandatory training.

With rapid growth in the United States, the Account Director will serve as a senior resource for a portfolio of American clients.

What You Will Do

The Account Director is a key strategist and team member whose accountabilities include:

Client Management

  • Develop an intimate understanding of each client account by proactively seeking out information about their history, mission, values, value proposition for donors, etc.
  • Develop long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients by ensuring that overarching campaign goals are met, future benchmarks are created and changing industry trends are constantly evaluated.

Business Development

  • Work closely with the BD team to transition new clients from development, to implementation, to launch, to steady state.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to add value to client partnerships and to expand the scope of the partnership by introducing innovative solutions.

Customer Service

  • Work closely with Customer Success Canada team to coordinate fulfillment of day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Facilitating launch schedule and completion of associated action items such as IT integration, HIVE (Call Centre) integration, ordering of materials, scheduling canvasser training;
    • Scheduling weekly check ins and ensuring KPIs/field activity are communicated effectively to clients
    • Territory management;
    • Complaint investigation/follow up;
    • Budget management.
  • Frequent travel across the US, and occasionally to Globalfaces’ national headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • Opportunity to emerge into a Leadership role within 6-12 months, continuing to nurture key partnerships and recruiting/managing a team of customer success managers.

What You Bring to the role

Your Experience

  • 4-6 years demonstrated experience working in an account management-based environment where duties included client retention and contributions which resulted in favourable business outcomes
  • Previous people manager experience with minimum 2 years as a Supervisor/Manager
  • Non-profit fundraising industry experience highly preferred

Your Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a related discipline preferred
