Charity Fundraising Experts Help UNICEF Expand Face-to-face Fundraising Across Canada to Acquire More Longterm DonorsApril 17, 2015
UNICEF is near and dear to us. This is the relief agency that helps women and children around the world to thrive. This volunteer-based agency helps end violence against children. UNICEF helps improve polio vaccinations worldwide. This agency also helps to ensure that kids are protected and not forgotten in war-torn nations. Plus UNICEF aims to improve the quality of and access to education. The Canada-based operations of this international agency has counted on our help for the last three years, and this year we’ll continue have good conversations about UNICEF.
United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 1946 to improve the health and nutrition of women and children around the world. While a small portion of funding comes from volunteered government help, global funds and private sector support, individual donors make regular donations that can quickly add up to a sizeable contribution that directly impacts at-risk lives around the world.
What exactly does this amazing agency do each year? UNICEF provides life-saving vaccinations to 35% of the world’s children. The relief agency works in more than 190 countries around the world. And sometimes UNICEF must handle more than 200 emergencies—such as typhoons or wars or famines—in a year. That’s why they need support, and our charity fundraising experts will begin knocking on doors across Canada again this week.
We’re the charity fundraising experts UNICEF trusts to acquire and retain more longterm monthly donors, which means less administrative costs and less struggle to keep donors for UNICEF. This is our third year working with UNICEF’s Canada operations, and we’re just as thrilled to put on our blue t-shirts and knock on doors for this agency as we were in 2013. UNICEF saves lives, period. Many families we meet are excited to chip in and help out.
